Entrepreneurs and the “Matrix” Movie

Entrepreneurs and the “Matrix” Movie

I was discussing with a friend how deep or abstract the entrepreneur’s knowledge about his industry should be. There are pros and cons for both.

Having deep knowledge and experience in the industry will allow him to find problems and inefficiencies to work on, or maybe find a niche market that is small enough so that corporations don’t focus on it, but big enough for the entrepreneur to start with.

However, getting into the details of the market and gaining more experience in it, will get the entrepreneur lost into the operations, will get him or her used to the traditional way of doing business, or in other words, will get the entrepreneur into the matrix.

While being out side the matrix, and having abstract look at the industry, will give the entrepreneur the bigger picture, so that he or she will come up with very simple solutions for very complicated problems.

I believe the entrepreneur should be “The One” in the Matrix movie, who can get in and out quickly, never get locked inside the matrix, help people see the bigger picture and solves the world problems!
