Starting a Crowd-”Founded” Website — 01
Starting a Crowd-”Founded” Website — 01
I am about to start a unique entrepreneurial experiment, and everyone is welcome to participate! I always wanted to create a crowd-funding platform, but never thought about a crowd-”founding” one!! This could be an indirect way to start a web startups stock market!
What could be a better way to test this concept than starting a crowd-founded website? So I am thinking about starting a website with zero capital, lots of in-kind co-founders, and see how far we can go before we need cash investment! Once needed, we will open up to co-founders first, then to the public to invest cash by buying new shares of the company.
However, the more I think about it, the more I believe that all co-founders and investors should be in one city, so that they can meet, interact, and build the “founders” relationship, in addition to working out all the legal issues within one country’s laws and regulations.
So, where is the fun part of it? Well, two things: First, the idea or the product should be something that can be fun so everyone will enjoy doing it. Let’s say something in games or maybe something for kids! Second, as we go, we shall post updates about how it goes inshalla.
I believe that we all (co-founders, investors and blog readers) will learn a lot from this experiment and will get an in-depth knowledge about the possibilities and challenges of the crowd-funding/founding concept!!!
But what should be the idea of the website?! To start with, I have purchased DearMyKids.com (and DearMyKid.com).
Any thoughts about what could this website do?!
