If you have a desk or a table and a good internet connection, what else do you need in a coworking space? Think again! It’s more than that!

In a startup environment, there is too much uncertainty, too much criticism, too many challenges, etc.. So it’s the spirit and the energy around you that keeps you alive!

Although it’s in the middle of the city, but away from the city noise, between 10s of long trees and green landscape, @Coworking961 was created. You feel like you’re in vacation every day you go to work! Imagine how it sounds in the early morning with lots of birds on those trees!!! There is also a pool in the garden full of goldfish!!!

In most coworking spaces, it’s usually busy and noisy, you can’t have time of your own. But in Coworking +961, you can take your laptop or iPad, set on the grass in the garden, and enjoy being alone for some time! And because it’s actually an old house that was renovated, you can move to another room whenever you feel like changing your location.

I was lucky enough to be part of launching Coworking +961 in Beirut yesterday. The launch event and the party were amazing, see the pictures on the facebook page.

The concept behind this is not only a coworking space, it’s a startup culture house. They are all believers in the startup culture and they all want to change the world.

Amazingly, the place is almost fully booked already!! Only few desks are still available. There are some NGOs and social startups as well as commercial startups in there now. It’s great to be surrounded by such people when you are trying to change the world too.

So this is another place you must visit whenever you come to Beirut for Tech Tourism or Startup Toursim ;-)
